MagicThemes Roadmap
We are keeping things minimal for Version One. The goal is to put all the core features in place first, then improve on top of it as we go on. We are more focused on developing beautiful, feature rich templates than a convoluted feature rich site application. You'll notice that simplicity as you register in our site.
But to give our dear customers something to expect, here's a simple roadmap of our development. But first note that these are highly tentative. We can change our mind or delay. But what we will never do is stop!
Version 1.0 (August 2010)
- Very Simple home page. Main focus is showcasing our templates. Just one news box.
- Simple Registration. Only requires email, password, and captcha validation.
- Simple Demo Page. Make download options accessible for logged-in users.
- Simple Members Area. Get what you want with minimal clicks.
- No Fancy Interface effects. We carefully made sure that there are no effects more than necessary.
- Very Simple Templates. Our initial templates will be feature-minimal. Only core Joomla is supported.
- Templates only for Joomla 1.5.
Version 1.1 (September 2010)
- Take into account customer feedbacks.
- Maybe a lighter tone for our main website design
- Maybe more contents on the home page. Sometimes contents are useful.
- PDF/Screenshots Tutorials on how to configure the templates.
- Support for CCKs like K2 and FlexiContent. We will use FlexiContent as our default CCK. It's so powerful and easy to use.
- Custom Modules for enhanced content layouts
Version 1.2 - 1.4(November 2010)
- Video Tutorials on configuring the templates
- More enhancements depending on client feedbacks
- Improved Template Download List. Right now it's so simple.
- Full Support for Joomla 1.5 and 1.6
Version 1.5 (Next Year 2011)
- Apply template fixes and updates from your site's Joomla Admin Panel. We'll provide a Joomla component for that.
Version 2.0 (Sometime next year)
- Our very own Alchemy Template Framework. Yes we have our own template framework too. But it's so different, really different. It will be the hottest thing that ever happen to the Joomla templates scene.
- Drupal and Wordpress Themes will be available.
- No need to go to www.magicthemes.com to download templates. We'll provide a Joomla component that lets you manage your MagicThemes Templates from inside your Joomla Admin Panel. You only need to go to MagicThemes if you want to buy additional licenses.
